Larke is from seattle washington where she studied ballet since she was a little girl,later moving to portland oregon to join Oregon Ballet Theatre where she danced in the company for 6 seasons.after leaving the ballet world Larke to move to Los Angeles, CA and began dancing and touring for artists such as Ciara, Britney Spears, Usher, Chris Brown, Christina Aguilera, Rihanna and is currently on tour with NeYo.

Dance Icon - Mark Kanemura

Mark Kanemura was born and raised on the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii. Starting off in musical theater, he then continued on to focus in dance, studying and training with Mid-Pacific School of the Arts and 24-7 Danceforce. After graduating he ventured off to work in Japan at the Tokyo Disney Sea Park and all over the world with Norwegian Cruise Lines as a dancer and a choreographer.

Mark then returned home to Hawaii to train and teach for a bit and then decided to try out for "So You Think You Can Dance". He became a finalist on FOX’s hit television show “So You Think You Can Dance” season 4 and returned this summer as an “All Star” for Season 7.

Since moving out to LA, he has appeared on “Dancing with the Stars”, “American Idol”, “Ellen”, “Oprah”, and various awards shows including the Grammy’s, Emmy’s, MTV VMA’s, and the European Music Awards. He has worked on tours, music videos, live appearances, and more with artists Keri Hilson, Carrie Underwood, Janet Jackson, Beyonce, Kylie Minogue, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga. Mark was also recently seen on the “Britney” episode of “Glee”.

He is extremely grateful for the many journeys , dancers, choreographers, and places he has been able to experience in his career and life. Gr-8-ful...Yes! Indeed!

Dance Icon - Nick Lanzisera

Nick moved to Los Angeles from Colorado Springs, Co in 2006 to pursue a career in dance. Since the big move, Nick has been able to work on a number of amazing projects. So far, Nick has appeared in movies, music videos, national commercials, award shows, and live stage performances. Some of Nick's favorite credits include working in both High School Musical 2 and 3, the movie remake of Fame, and recently Footloose.

Nick is so thankful to be busy with these amazing opportunities as well as working on projects such as the Oscars with Hugh Jackman, Vh1 Divas Live with Jordan Sparks and Miley Cyrus, Dancing with the Stars, and recently the 2010 MTV Music Video Awards. Additionally Nick has been teaching here in LA for about three years now, teaching at both Millennium Dance Complex and Edge PAC.

Nick has very much enjoyed sharing his work here in LA and sharing his funky contemporary style of choreography .

Dance Icon - Sophia Aguiar

A native Miamian, Sophia Aguiar began dancing at the age of 4. She trained at several local studios, learning all styles of dance from a variety of teachers. After graduating high school, Sophia knew exactly what she wanted to do with her talent. She moved to L.A., where she booked her first job dancing with Beyonce on the 2006 MTV Music Video Awards. Since then she has appeared in a number of music video's including Beyonce's "Get me bodied", Colby Odonis's "Don't turn back", Keri Hilson's "Turnin me on" and "Slow dance", and Ne-Yo's "Beautiful Monster. Most recently she has been on tour with Keri Hilson for the year of 2009 and is now currently on tour with artist Ne-yo.

At the age of 22, Sophia continues to train and take class on her free time and now hopes to inspire others with her dancing and choreography. :)

Filipino. Swiss. Dancer. Singer. Performer. Subtle. Inspiring. Bold. Unique. Passionate. Dreamer. Muse. Free. Iconic. I am Glur.

Christina Glur discovered her love for movement at a very young age watching Kristi Yamaguchi figure skate. She twirled her childhood away, at home, at Albertson’s, at Costco, everywhere. After nonstop replays of Dirty Dancing, Christina’s loving and supportive parents finally signed her up for dance lessons. One ballet class turned into a weekly regime of ballet, jazz, tap, voice, and acting. She continued to pursue her love for dance at Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, where she focused and perfected her technique and believed wholeheartedly that being an Alvin Ailey dancer was her destiny. However, God worked in his usual mysterious way, and after being rejected by NYU and Fordham, she decided to attend college at the University of California, Irvine. There she found her bestie for life and genius choreographer, Miguel Zarate, and the two of them liiiiived and danced happily ever after!

Galen Hooks is an LA native whose versatility and experience have rendered her one of the most respected and sought after performers in the business. Galen has danced with over 40 recording artists, including Janet Jackson, Usher, Chris Brown, Prince, The Jonas Brothers, Rhianna, and John Legend. She also modeled extensively for Nike's Dance and Sport Culture lines, including countless catalogs, billboards, and a two page ad in Vogue magazine.

Galen is a dancer, choreographer, and actress in LXD: Legion of Extraordinary Dancers, which premiered on HULU.COM this year and has had groundbreaking performances on So You Think You Can Dance, TED Talks, the 82nd Annual Oscars, and as the opening act for the Glee Tour. She is also a dancer, choreographer, and actress for Ne-Yo‘s highly anticipated concept album Libra Scale, in which she plays the lead character Diamond Eye and her alter ego, Pretti Sinclair.

Support the Gay Men's Health Crisis of New York City - SAVOR 2010

On Monday, March 8, 2010, GMHC will host Savor, a four-course dinner prepared by an all-star team of world-famous chefs at Gotham Hall in New York City. Over the past two years, Savor has raised over $1,000,000 and attracted an impressive roster of chefs, presented by Ted Allen (The host of The Food Network’s Chopped). This year we are pleased to announce a team of all-star chefs which includes Scott Conant (Scarpetta), Geoffrey Zakarian (Town), Chris Santos (The Stanton Social), Marc Murphy (landmarc), Amanda Freitag (Harrison), Alex Guarnaschelli (Butter), Aaron Sanchez (Paladar). The event will include a reception, luxury auction, and the Ultimate Culinary Relay, featuring judges from The Food Network

Anthony Cunanan Photography will be participating in the Silent Auction before the event with a Photo Shoot Session valued at $5000.

Item: Photography Session with Anthony Cunanan

Description: One Day Photography Session with New York based fashion photographer Anthony Cunanan. Photo Shoot can be used for Portrait Session or Fashion Lookbook. Photography may be used for personal or commercial uses. Commercial usage will be agreed upon during production of photo shoot.

Value: minimum $5000

Restrictions: Photography session includes photographer day rate and specified usage for photography. Location Shoot is included in photo shoot but studio shoot can be arranged. Basic Digital Capture Package included. If needed, studio rental and additional lighting equipment and special equipment rental will be responsibility of auction winner. Any additional photo production financing will be the responsibility of auction winner.

"DANCEINFUSED" is a unique window for viewing the culture of dance and celebrating everything about it.

“DANCEINFUSED” is presented in a 7500 sq ft. interactive loft space at Die Fabrik in NYC’s Soho district. The opening reception from 9pm – 11pm features the work of photographers, painters, and videographers on their interpretation of dance, as well as a collection of autobiographical work of well - established representatives of dance. The rest of the evening continues until 2am with performances, interactive displays, and a celebration with music provided by Hardy Boys featuring DJ Lloydski and Blu Jemz.

Performances throughout the evening feature the Hip Hop Dance Conservatory, dance photographer Lois Greenfield & The Dario Vaccaro Dance Project, portrait photographer Anthony Cunanan, Broadway dancer/choreographer James Kinney and NYC nightlife’s, Roela LaMazing, interactive demonstrations by Voguers, Capoeiristas, B-Boys, B-girls, Burlesque, and more. An ongoing exhibition of the visual displays will continue for the rest of the weekend, May 23 & 24, 1pm - 7pm.
